A recent addition to the green feathers in its cap was made by Frost & Sullivan (F&S), the international business research and consultancy firm, which conferred the Green India Award 2009 on the company in its Challenger category.  This award is based on detailed research by F&S, followed by detailed assessment of systems and processes by the experts at the company, in fulfilment of its objective to make green a viable aspect of any business. Adding to the many other firsts in its quiver of achievements, Tata Sponge Iron becomes the first sponge iron company in India to receive this coveted award, which is a validation of its unwavering commitment to progress towards producing green sponge iron.
