Tata Teleservices launches Tata Indicom mobile service in Mumbai

Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), Maharashtra's leading basic service provider, today, announced the launch of Tata Indicom mobile service in Mumbai.
"The launch of Tata Indicom mobile service in Mumbai signifies a key milestone in the unfolding of the Tata group's telecom plans in Maharashtra. Attractive value-for-money tariff plans and a range of handsets suited to diverse customer segments were also unveiled at the launch ceremony. The entry level of Tata Indicom mobile service has been kept at a nominal upfront payment of Rs999 and the service will be available at fourteen exclusive franchisee showrooms and several retail selling points(RSP) across the city.
"Tata Indicom mobile service will offer an attractive alternative to consumers who seek to go mobile. Tata Indicom mobile service subscribers will have access to a host of value-added services like SMS, MMS and content-driven SMS, to name a few." Said S Ramakrishnan, managing director, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra). "We are confident of an encouraging response from the consumers, like in five other circles where our service is already operational," he added.
Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) recently launched its mobile services in Nagpur, Aurangabad, Pune and Nashik.

The company has invested Rs350 crore in commissioning the first phase of the launch of Tata Indicom mobile service in Maharashtra. Tata Indicom is already the trusted and reliable telecom service for around 850,000 subscribers across six circles.
