TRF MD PS Reddy elected national president of Indian Value Engineering Society

Jamshedpur: PS Reddy, managing director, TRF, was elected as the next president of the Indian Value Engineering Society (INVEST). Mr Reddy was elected by the office bearers of the national council of INVEST who had converged along with several delegates from companies in India, US, Japan and Hong-Kong during the international conference that was organised by the society at New Delhi on November 28 and 29, 2016. The position of national president of INVEST has been held in the past by stalwarts like Dr Jamshed J Irani, PN Roy, Ashok Pandit, NP Sinha who were from east zone and Tata group of companies.

S Moitra, the current president of INVEST, announced at the Annual General Meeting held during this period that PS Reddy, managing director, TRF, would be the next national president of Indian Value Engineering Society and would take over from him from April 01, 2017.

During his acceptance note, Mr Reddy drew attention to some of the key initiatives that would be undertaken by INVEST in near future. These would include the request for adaptation of VE (value engineering) methodology in major government projects, dissemination of value engineering knowledge in educational industries and to render value engineering education services to small and medium scale industries to improve their performance. He also announced that the next value engineering conference would be held sometime in November 2017, in Jamshedpur.

In the above conference five executives from TRF namely, Amit Kumar Ghosh, Jayant Kumar Sinha, Indraneel Sarkar, Deb Kumar Paul, and Mohammad Eqbal also attended the conference and presented their technical papers on various improvement projects initiated in TRF.
