Tata Power brings Club Enerji to Ajmer, Rajasthan

Ajmer and Jaipur: Club Enerji, Tata Power's nationwide energy and resources conservation movement, has constantly worked towards spreading the message of responsible citizenship by conservation of energy and natural resources. Taking this commitment forward, Tata Power Ajmer Distribution (TPADL) launched Club Enerji in Ajmer.

Through this initiative, Tata Power wishes to involve school children, the decision makers of tomorrow, to play a vital role in not only propagating efficient usage of energy but also furthering the larger cause of educating the society on resource conservation. TPADL set up its first Enerji Club at Rajkiya Balika Senior Secondary School, Ramnagar, Ajmer. A total of 55 enthusiastic students participated in the session. Club Enerji is now working towards extending the campaign to other schools in the city, thereby, attaining the desired target of sensitising maximum number of citizens.

Speaking on the occasion, Anil Sardana, MD and CEO, Tata Power, said, “We are overwhelmed by the enthusiastic support shown by the school for this drive. We believe these students will be the ambassadors for energy conservation and spread the message to their family, society and the community at large. We pledge to spread the message of energy conservation to as many citizens as possible”.

Recognising the immense value that schools and school children can bring to the initiative, Club Enerji was started in 2007 to propagate efficient usage of energy, and to educate the society on climate change issues. Till date, the movement has been successfully implemented in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Belgaum, Lonavala, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
