Suprakash Mukhopadhyay

Suprakash Mukhopadhyay joined Tata Sons from TCS, where he was Global Treasury Head and Company Secretary. He joined the Tata group in 1988 in Tata Steel’s Jharia Division, and moved to Tata Sons in 2000, and then to TCS in 2008.
During his 12-year stint at Tata Steel, he worked in various departments and functions such as Cost and Management Accounting at Jharia Division, Export Accounting and Budgeting at the Marketing Division, and finally Corporate Secretarial and Investment function at the Corporate Head Office in Mumbai
In 2000, he joined Tata Financial Services, a division of Tata Sons, and was responsible for the Treasury function. He played a key role in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) initial public offering. In 2008, he joined TCS as the Company Secretary, and was subsequently given the responsibility of managing the Governance function of more than 50 subsidiaries, the Global Treasury function, and the management of retiral benefit funds.
Suprakash is a qualified Cost & Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary. He also holds a B.Com (Hons) degree which he completed at St. Xavier's in Kolkata.
