Problem Solving Engineer

Grade C, local Nitra

Salary: From 1930 eur monthly, 0-15% yearly bonus, other benefits according JLR rules

OPPORTUNITY:

Role is responsible for leading the resolution of complex quality issues. Lead cross functional team to reach containment in case of problem without dedicated leader. Must have proven ability to present, facilitate and drive team in root cause analysis.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

- validate delivery of projects that will solve quality issues (8D's and Level 0 projects)
- Guarantee of healthy quality culture
- Lead of working level to allocate issue for right concern leader and in case of not clear leadership lead cross functional team to find right allocation
- Active champion & trainer of problem solving tools (8D, DMAIC, Ishikawa, 5W, PDCA)
- Improve and lead process of daily coaching problem solving session
- Ability to read drawings, CAD, GD&T (general deviations and tolerances)
- Ability to deliver containment actions within complex issues
- Ability to lead cross functional root cause analysis
- work towards achievement of the IPS, manufacturing quality operating standard and launch quality operating system processes
- maintain department records for audit purposes and to be the main point of contact for all relevant auditing processes

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential (Technical Must-Have):

  • Six Sigma Green belt
  • Degree in engineering or equivalent subject
  • English language to higher level
  • ability to collect and communicate data within the company is essential
  • Statistical and analytical knowledge
  • ability to lead cross functional teams
  • competent user of MS office - word, power point & particularly excel
  • experience 1 year minimum


Desirable:

  • familiarity within automotive certification processes
  • experience in quality management process and operating systems
  • open to change and the new technologies
  • experience with lean and continuous improvement
  • strong communication and presentation skills
  • enthusiasm, drive, commitment and confidence to achieve goals with minimal supervision
