Telecom Mobile Voice Core Engineer

n  Support ongoing modification & configuration changes to the Nokia Mobile core of MSS, MGW, CDS

n  Good understanding on the Signalling Transfer Point (STP) (STPv6)(Siemens) SS7 signalling, Network diagnostics utilities, SMS support

n  Mobile Switching Center Server (MSS) understanding on interfaces to O&M programs for traffic measurement

n  Support includes GSM, WCDMA, LTE, PSTN, IMS and direct SIP access.

n  MGW control using H.248 (Megaco)

n  Candidates with experience and/or certification in Openstack / VMWare will be preferred

n  Hands on experience managing the Nokia Nes through NetManager

n  Good working knowledge of UNIX or Linux operating systems

n  Previous Operational experience and related wireless and test equipment knowledge

n  Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and provide technical support assistance.

n  Perform SW/HW upgrades. Sw Maintenance Activities such as installation and testing of new change deliveries activities

n  Technical Support tasks including fault diagnosis and Troubleshooting

n  Live traffic subscriber migration; execution of functional and end-to-end testing

n  Offer remote technical support to other projects, integration to other Network elements

n  Strong and demonstrated troubleshooting skills and abilities to debug and reproduce hardware, software, and networking problems including network performance and interoperability issues

n  Experience of integration with NetAct OSS is highly desirable

n  Knowledge of GSM and/or LTE networks highly desirable

n  Hands-on experience with operating protocol analyzers

n  Independent work ethics

n  Effective communications skills. Fluent and Proficient in English (both oral and written)
