Following the regulatory approval of the merger of Air India and Vistara, the airlines have announced a phased merger which commenced on September 3, 2024, with a commitment to crafting exceptional journeys.

Together, the Air India-Vistara combine will now have an expanded network with broader fleet access, all while creating unforgettable experiences on board and on the ground.

Starting 3 September 2024, ticket sales for selected routes are gradually transitioning from Vistara to Air India. If a desired route has been transferred to Air India, you will be redirected from Vistara to Air India to continue with your booking.

By 12 November 2024, Vistara will be inoperative, and all its operations will be transferred to and managed by Air India. Passengers are assured that they are the airlines' top priority, and will be offered clear guidance and support at every stage of your travel.

The merger promises the following benefits to flyers.

  • More destinations & flights: An expanded network that covers destinations globally will give more options for travel plans, whether business or leisure. A larger fleet size offers more flights and scheduling flexibility. Explore network.
  • Seamless loyalty benefits: Club Vistara will be seamlessly integrated into Flying Returns, Air India's flagship frequent flyer programme. Earn points to redeem rewards when flying with Air India or any of the 24 Star Alliance airlines. See Flying Returns.
  • Special offers: Make the most of every journey and choose from amazing partnerships. Discover incredible deals on bookings and promotional offers. Get discounts on popular flights all year round. Check offers.
