In FY 2024, Infiniti Retail, the Tata company the retail electronics giant Croma, made significant strides in employee volunteering focusing on key areas, such as skill development, environmental sustainability and community welfare.

Infiniti Retail’s efforts to give back to the community are driven by the objective of promoting responsible consumption of consumer electronics, building employable skills among the youth, and encouraging employee volunteering to improve community life. The key focus areas include:

  • Promoting energy-efficient devices and safe e-waste disposal.
  • Skilling marginalised youth to enhance their employability.
  • Establishing cause-based partnerships and engaging employees in volunteering activities.

Volunteering in FY 2024 at Infiniti Retail was focused on the following:

Skill Volunteering Initiatives

One of the standout programmes in FY 2024 was the Retail Skill Building Workshop for Youth. This initiative aimed at equipping young individuals from marginalised sections with retail skills, career counselling, interpersonal skills and presentation skills. The programme reached 13,814 beneficiaries with the help of our employee volunteers across 58 cities, clocking 16,517 volunteering hours. This initiative created deep social impact by enabling youth to secure employment in the retail sector, significantly improving their livelihoods and future prospects.

Green Volunteering Initiatives

The company placed a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability through various green volunteering initiatives:

  • E-waste Awareness and Advocacy: Conducted 361 sessions in 77 cities, collecting 32 K e-waste units.
  • Tree Plantation Drives: Aimed at increasing green cover and promoting environmental awareness.
  • Plastic Waste Reduction Campaigns: Focused on reducing plastic use and promoting alternatives like paper bags.

These efforts engaged employee volunteers who contributed 43,115 hours, benefiting 94,787 individuals across 120 cities.

Infiniti Retail’s volunteering initiatives in FY 2024 have made a profound impact on various communities and environmental sustainability efforts. With a clear plan and dedicated resources, the company is poised to continue its positive contributions in FY 2025, fostering a culture of responsibility and care within and beyond the organisation.

  • In FY 2024, Infiniti Retail clocked 112,690 hours with a PCVH of 8.11 (compared to 0.71 in FY 2023)
  • Significant scale and impact
  • Ranked 5th within the group for its contribution to group level volunteering hours and ranked 3rd for PCVH in very large category
  • Infiniti Retail extended the flagship e-waste recycling awareness and drive to all Tata employees towards building synergies and strengthening collaborations

Other volunteering Initiatives for the community

Community welfare was addressed through several impactful initiatives:

  • Road Safety Awareness Campaigns: These campaigns educated the public on safe driving practices, reaching thousands of individuals.
  • Psychological Support providing emotional support to the elderly and orphans.
  • Blood, Food and Clothes Donation Drives: Mobilised resources to support those in need and participation in distribution to the community.
