In its journey of becoming a world-class airline with an Indian heart, Air India marks an important milestone with the merger of Vistara into Air India. This is the second group airline merger in a span of six weeks following the merger of Air India Express and AIX Connect (formerly Air Asia India). With this, Air India Group has Air India as its full-service carrier and Air India Express as its low-cost carrier.
